AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF VICKSBURG TO EXERCISE THE AUTHORITY GRANTED TO CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES IN ACQUIRING AND USING LAND AND OTHER PROPERTY FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CONVENTION CENTERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, may exercise all of the authority granted to certain municipalities under Sections 17-3-9 through 17-3-19, Mississippi Code of 1972. If the City of Vicksburg chooses to exercise the authority granted by this act, it will be subject to all of the provisions of Sections 17-3-9 through 17-3-19, Mississippi Code of 1972.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
